new AK2i gives error on DSi v 1.4

I have a new ak2i card and in my DSi, when i click it i get a black screen with the error:
"An error has occurred. Press and hold the power button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi operational manual for help troubleshooting"

Important facts to know:
1. My DSi already has firmware v. 1.4
2. The card has in it`s root level the following:
_ak2 (folder)
ak2ifw_update_14_DSi.nds
akmenu4.nds
3. The 4GB micro SD card is formatted to fat 32
4. the AK2i icon that appears in the DSi menu has written on it the following:
"AK start" ( there is no image on the icon other than that)
5. I have no access to a DSL, but if someone tells me this is something that will solve my problem somehow and will allow my DSi to function,
I will be obliged to try and do strange things in order to get one for a short while.
6. I have contacted the seller smartDSI.com but have so far got no conclusive answer.
7. Language is set to English.

Does anyone have any idea how to get out of this situation ?

Hi! You could try connecting to the internet and going on System Update...
Other than that I don't know.............
